Travel, food and photography from my semester abroad

First week!

So it’s been a week here in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark. There’s so many places to begin, but I’d have to start with the food. Paperisland (“Papiroen”) is what I’d imagine the lovechild of Smorgasburg in Brooklyn and the Boqueria in Spain to be. I have been an embarrassing amount of times for the short week I’ve been here, but I can also say with confidence I’ll be back soon. I would recommend the Korean Street BBQ (sweet potato noodle and pork dish) and a mojito for anyone passing through (though the wraps, pasta and cheesecake are amazing too… so I’ve heard). Aside from Paperisland, I’ve had delicious brunch (stuffed croissant anyone?!), burgers (but with weird ketchup) and maybe even a little booze (sorry mom, but I’m #legal). I didn’t realize, however, how much I would have to cook here (can’t live off of $40 dinners for four months!) so learning how to use a stove has been fun too. I’m so excited for the next four months and all the food (and experiences, learning, friendships, blah blah) that are coming my way!
